Emotional Well Being - you can live it.

Whether it is stress, family, relationships, work or your history, you can feel better.

In the morning do a few stretches before getting out of bed - then tell yourself congrats because you just added a bit of exercise to your day. If you are a meditator, put in 10 minutes before thinking about your day or heading to work. It makes a difference.

In the middle of the day consider your nutrition - did you have breakfast? A healthy lunch? and have a plan for a nutritious dinner? It is so much easier to eat healthily and support your body and mind if you plan in advance and make sure you have access whether in your own refrigerator or in restaurants that support health.

In the evening - connection with friends or loved ones, your meal and your sleep all make for emotional well being. Taking meals with people you enjoy, people who support you, people with similar beliefs add to your happiness. Easy with the alcohol, it is a depressant.

Evening meditation, either before dinner or before bed. 10, 20, 30 or 45 minutes - all are recommended by different meditators. Check out each to see what you are comfortable with. In the beginning 10 to 20 is plenty. Then getting into bed with enough time to settle in, and get your hours of sleep 7 1/2, 8 or 9 what works for you.

  • I offer meditation seminars on a regular basis and can even design one that just for you or you and your friends. Check my calendar or reach out and we'll make a plan for you 602-569-6078 or lcockrum@cox.net
